Look at every tournament game from last year and take notice of the minutes and production from the bench. This year, nothing even close is happening from Hubert. Nance wants to play only the perimeter. After Bacot gets the ball, all 4 of the other teammates are just watching him from the perimeter. Geez, help him out, guys. Puff will go in and help Bacot out if he is on the floor. Puff comes from a family of athletes and understands the game. He should be winning a starting position over Nance anyway
I’d like to see more minutes for Jalen Washington, Dunn and Nickel — in that order. Cut Nance’s minutes to 6 or 7 off the bench.
I think we need three wins of four left then two wins in the NCAA tournament.
This team’s ceiling is super high. The problem is this teams floor is very low as well.
Issac and Coach I agree a 100% that Pete isn’t Brady. But if your a college coach and you have had a whole season to either adapt a different style of play to make up for Brady or use three people to make up for him. It’s honestly been such a sad season, has us Heels fans sounding like UK fans which is where I’m from and the number one reason I’m not a UK fan. I just hope next year the bench stays and the starters can just go and thank them for all they have done but this has run it course and next year if Davis can’t put anything together I hate to say we need to start looking but the inability to adjust throughout the season I feel is what has made everybody so upset. This is a good team they just don’t have the right mindset which is very uncommon for the Tarheels.
Hubert coaches scared
I think where Hubert is only a second year coach he is too scared to trust his players to play. He feels like he micromanages and is scared to death to trust bench guys to have the freedom they need. Early season he cared more about winning every game than he did about development
I still think the season's over. This team has done nothing to make me believe they can win the games they need to win. However, if they stand any chance of making the tournament, it starts with a lineup change. Pete cannot and should not start. Heck, I don't want to see him and Mando on the court at the same time at all. A lineup change helped us last year, and I believe it's the only thing that could help us this year. Sadly, I don't think we are going to see that. The only reason we changed the lineup last year was out of necessity due to player unavailability.
Just a question. How in the world is Virginia not quad 1A? And how are they still so low in the rankings? Legit disrespectful.
We will be favored in the next 4 games but……

Notre Dame is not good in any way
I’ve said this when we were looking in the transfer portal but I thought KJ williams (whose at lsu) would of been a better fit than Nance. He’s got the size at 6’10 but can also play on the perimeter which is what we need to open up driving lanes and let Bacot operate
I am 100% over trying to figure this team out. They won't change line ups, won't play the bench (esp early so they arent gassed late), won't get Armando shots, won't help on isolation inside, leaky won't do anything on offense, Caleb will keep jacking up shots instead of driving the ball, Nance will continue to look overwhelmed, rj isn't a pg, they wont scheme well late, and they'll continue to stink from 3. I can only help this team by being kind to my neighbors, not cussing out my bus driver for being super late, making my partner his favorite dish, etc..whatever voodoo I can muster for the basketball gods. The only reason I'm rooting for this team right now instead of packing it in is so that we don't have the "only team ranked no 1 to not make tournament" on our resume. Oof.

No disrespect to Pete, but he needs to be 1st or 2nd off the bench, not starting. Hubert needs to start Leaky at the 4 and either start Puff at the 3 or start Dunn and move Love to the 3. Nance is struggling to score and defend when he's out there, and it throws off the team rhythm on both ends. If Hubert doesn't switch it up starting tonight vs ND, the last 4 games won't be worth watching…period

I think they can get in with 18/19 wins with some help. If one of those wins is Dook or uva. It's the old " I don't have to out run the bear" joke. We have to out run West Virginia. We already dropped a biscuit on Charleston.
