The North Carolina Tar Heels leveraged hot shooting from long-range in the first half to get out to a large lead and defeat the Florida State Seminoles, 77-66. R.J. Davis led the Tar Heels in scoring with 19 points. Leaky Black scored 18 and grabbed 9 rebounds, Pete Nance scored 15 and hauled in 10 rebounds and Caleb Love scored 16 points for UNC in the win. The Tar Heels shot 48.3% from 3-point land. Caleb Mills led the Seminoles with 19 points and added 6 rebounds, and Matthew Cleveland scored 12 to go along with 9 rebounds in defeat.

How did Florida State beat the Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team last Saturday? 70% 2nd half shooting, majority in the paint. ACC is evenly distributed throughout for good teams but Florida State 2nd half record deficit comeback still baffles this CANES FAN. Amando Bacot inability to shoot from 10 -12 feet is showing up big time. He just doesn't show up for big games. With no jump shot he is a sitting duck. Its no doubt about it there is rift between him and Hubert Davis. He has been overated all year long. Davis pulled him tonight for dumb fouls and no effort. Pete Nance seems to figured it out for now. It was good to see Styles get some burn tonight. He should of been playing all year long. Probably a little too late to keep him in Chapel Hill. Leaky played like he should be playing all the time. Great job by him. 3 down one more to go. Go Heels!

This is utter BS and completely unacceptable! Why did it take this long for a team with the talent and expectations after last year's results to finally decide to get serious only because their season was in complete jeopardy! Pisses me off that it took the threat of not making the NCAA tournament for this group to get their collective head out of their collective ass! I, in all honesty, hope they don't make it because they don't deserve to! Shame on you Carolina that it took desperation to somewhat get your act in gear! No excuse
