North Carolina, despite being led by an experienced core of Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, Caleb Love, and Leaky Black, have struggled this season to extend leads or close out games. It was on display against Duke on Senior Night. The closing of the game was essentially déjà vu of the game earlier this season at Cameron.
UNC must now find a way to get Pete Nance going again, get more shots for Armando Bacot, & get RJ Davis handling the ball more often. UNC must figure out a way to operate when outside shots aren’t falling
The ACC Tournament presents UNC with a chance to automatically play their way into the NCAA Tournament with four straight wins in Greensboro. Can UNC do that? The way the bracket plays out certainly seems to be in their favor.

I accepted a while back that this team isn't very good, but I'm still dumbfounded every time they come up short. We've only seen the slightest of improvements from the initial 4-game losing streak in the non-conference schedule. They are still making the same mistakes: taking bad shots, turning the ball over, taking breaks on defense, not being able to extend a lead or close out tight games. This team just can't win 4 games in a row in the ACC tournament; they aren't good or consistent enough. I think it's time to look ahead to next season. I'm willing to move one and remember the fun these guys gave me last season, and I think most of these starters need to think about moving on too.
We knew these guys couldn't shoot when Roy was the coach that's why Hubert prioritized bringing in a shooter last year and we saw how that impacted the end result. Unfortunately Brady Manek is not walking through that door and Pete Nance doesn't bring enough consistent scoring punch to jumpstart this team. Not his fault. It is what it is. If we have learned anything from this group it's that we need better shooters so we'll see what the makeup of the team looks like in the future. As for this group, they have such a slim margin for error that every decision is crucial so in short, it doesn't look great. Let the chips fall where they will and keep it moving. There's always next year.
Time for a change at north carolina! This coach is out coached every game they run no offense don't attempt to fast break! They walk the ball up have no drive this falls on the coach they have no leadership you can't be friends with your players you have to bench them and get on them sometimes he's a nice guy but not the right coach for the heels!
Bacot is horrible, he can't score on a guy who has FOUR fouls!!!!really really. Bros game is only good when he's playing 6-7 to 6-8 guys.

This teams BIGGEST problem the last 2 seasons is not having a REAL PG!
Every issues we complain about (turnovers, bad shot selection, not getting the ball inside, terrible P&R game, late game offensive stalls, situational awareness, closing close games with poorly run plays) all would be solved by an actual PG.
RJ and Caleb are scorers. Not lead guards. And I hate to tell you all, it won't change next season. I love Simeon Wilcher, but he's a scorer as well, more of a combo guard. We don't have a LEAD guard coming until Elliott Cadeau gets here.
If there is anything this team needs to find in the portal to survive the losses they are about to have after this year, it's an ACTUALLY point guard. I've been screaming this since last season. I thought we got RJ to buy in to being that player end of last season, but he's reverted back to being the main "ball handler" but a shot hunter who looks for his shot, not feeding others.
Ready for this whole team to leave and Hubert has to bare a lot of the blame. The team is effectively good at nothing, no metrics can they lean on.

Okay, I have heard all season long, "We should get the ball to Bacot"!! I have watched every game we have played this year and even been to games, both men and women!! So sick of Bacot doesn't get the ball enough!! HE GETS THE BALL MORETHAN ENOUGH!! He has missed so many layups it's mind boggling! And so many times when he gets the ball, he kicks it back out!! The problem is there's no HEART to be found anywhere on this team, including on the coaching staff!! Hubert is a joke at leading this team!! As far as the team goes, this is the laziest and whiniest Carolina team since the jason capel years!! This team has actually gotten worse by the game this season!! All fingers point to one person and why everybody is so scared to say so is beyond me!! So much talent on this team and absolutely no improvement and so little bench play is why I say so!! Tyler Nickel is the all time leading scorer in Virgina HS history !! Scores 16 points in a game earlier this season and barely sees any time at all since then!! But keeps Love in to miss shots from everywhere in hopes that the team from last season returns for another fluke ending and bails his rearend out again!! Jon has made hubert look ridiculous this season and hubert should be ashamed of what he has done to this team this season!! End of conversion on hubert!!Just saying! Have a great day!!

Everyone wants to point fingers. Hubert is getting criticism, we gotta remember just last year Hubert took this same team all the way to the championship game. I don't know where prob is just wish they could find an answer before the acc tournament.

The coach cannot play the game, so don’t put it on him
For whatever reason, these boys can't get the ball to Mondo, or Mondo gets doubled/triple teamed, he passes the ball out, and then we miss the open shot time after time. You can't win if the ball doesn't go through the basket.
The NCAA have too much of of quart one and they can put them wherever they want them
Brady Manek was UNC savings grace last year. He stretch the defense an that left Bacot without the double team. The UNC coaching staff has fell these kids tremendously. Bacot doesn't realize a double team is coming an when does he can't pass it. He misses so many bunnies. He should be tearing arms off and breaking fingers. Hubert Davis is not the guy for the job. Up by 4 he should of called a timeout to tell them go inside first option. UNC paying him over 2 million dollars for complete garbage.

UNC is just not as good this year as it's been in the past. We simply played a much taller, talented and physical team….. period, hard stop!!!!! I hope these boys head on out to the next level and we start building for our awesome future.
