Hubert needs to go.. he is not the man for the job you gotta he a coach not just try and be their friends. You gotta stick to the unc style of play. He had a lucky run last season bc Brady manek helped that much but I say one more season if he has another bad season he needs to go
Hubert has got to learn how to tell his players no. Caleb has been allowed to take half a dozen ridiculous, no chance 3-pointers every game without being benched or even told to try something else. He also needs to learn how to play more than 5 players…
i think hubert davis needs a line up change-play the bench more-the starting 5 is worn out at this point.

Let's be honest, the fanbase was 50/50 on Hubert to begin with. Carolina is a NIT caliber team, and outside of their 3-week stretch last year, they have been a NIT team since Hubert got here. Hubert will be gone by 2025.
Bro Caleb love and rj Davis haven't gotten any better that's not coaching that's putting in the work. They had opportunities to win the game and got out played in the end like they have all year. Nobody complained about the coaching when this team was hitting shots (Manek) and winning games. Davis's offense works when the shots are falling, when the players do what they are supposed to and move the ball. They have done it. We've all seen it. For whatever reason, this group simply can't sustain it. We can criticize Davis for his lack of bench development, but at the end of the day, we are just complaining about what we are used to. Not all coaches play their bench. We can complain about him not using the bench as a motivator for bad play. One I actually agree with. However, at the end of the day, we have no idea what is going on in that locker room that is causing Davis to make these decisions. What I do know is, outside of the Duke game in Cameron and the late tourney run last year, this team has largely just been an average college basketball team since the 19-20 season. They went 14-19 in 19-20 and would have missed the tourney had there been one. They went 18-11 in 20-21, barely made the tourney, and got boat raced by Wisc in the 1st round. Then they were a bubble team again in 21-22, but got hot late. I'm convinced that the Covid year messed up the player rankings as games were cancelled and evaluators couldn't go watch kids play. I believe these guys just aren't that good. With all that, we are surprised they are struggling again? A HOF coach could not right the ship, but we expect a 2nd year coach to have all the answers? Come on.

I'm officially out on Hubert Davis. No in game adjustments, no X's and O's. No plays out of time outs, doesn't develop his bench or use them effectively. Uses the word "humbleness" instead of "humility" To all the people blaming the players, Bill Self would destroy the field if he had the kind of talent that is on this roster. Complete lack of shooting. You are playing a four out offense without shooting. Manek simply made open shots which opened up the lane for drives.
Hubert Davis is an awful coach. Hilarious seeing so many UNC fans make excuses that it's the players. Hubert will never have a more talented roster full of experience. If he can't get in the tournament this year, he won't last more than a season or 2 longer.
I agree with most of the takes. The Duke handles UNC stuff is a bit much. Duke will be lucky to get out of the first weekend of the tourney.

Tbph Jeff is correct, this is completely on Hubert. I've watched every min of every game this year, and this is on Hubert Davis. The starters don't play themselves to death, this coach does. The players don't not develop the bench, Hubert Davis didn't. #GoHeels
