The news broke on Monday, the first day the transfer portal was open, that North Carolina senior Justin McKoy and freshman Tyler Nickel were entering the transfer portal. The McKoy news is perhaps not a shock, while the Nickel news brings more of a surprise. Coach Hubert Davis began meeting with players on Monday to discuss the future. As to updates on Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, RJ Davis and others with eligibility left, we’ll have to wait.
Leaky Black and Pete Nance are out of eligibility so they’ll definitely be gone, while Carolina also adds incoming freshman Zayden High and Simeon Wilcher. Coach Davis and the staff will have to figure out how they want to utilize the currently 3 available scholarships.

If you look at it that’s good for Justin McCoy because he wasn’t playing a lot. He wants to show what he can do on another team
All of you that keep kissing hubert's rearend, good luck with that!!All I have to say for that is "PUCKER UP GUYS"!! Gonna be a long experience. Hubert sucks as a head coach!! I can't say it enough, if he can't do anything with the talent he had this year what makes anyone think he can do anything with possibly less!! He literally made this season's team worse game by game!! Had a guy that was the all time HS points leader in Virginia's history and scored 16 points in a game and barely sees the floor after that!!! And lets Puff play unreal minutes when he couldn't throw the ball in the ocean and also has Jalen sitting on the bench all season long as well!! All the while leaving Love in with the hopes and prayers that he comes out of a season long slump and saves the team from every loss they had! Well, that never happened!! But at least he stuck by that losing stance all season long!! I'm not so sure we have seen all the portal exits yet!! And may possible start seeing recruits decommiting at some point!! Who knows?? Again, hubert sucks as a head coach! Just saying! Have a great day!!
There are no pro players on this team g league at best.
He had all that this year and didn't know how to use it. When Caleb was off he wouldn't put others in to see what they can do. He says the same thing in the off season then do exactly the same thing he did the year before. Study Steve Kerr and learn how to develop a bench

North Carolina's offense closely resembled a 4 grade travel team. Weave – hand off – weave – hand off – then be froced to take a deep three with the shot clock running out.
Hopefully dmarco and dontrez stay. Dunn was underused he’s our teams best or second best shooter and I still have hope dontrez can be a really good college player
Hey, I am for 50 years, a loyal Die Hard Tarheel fan. I love the fact that we are getting top recruits to come to our school . But to get them here, are we making false promises.? Based on lack of opportunity to develop. Who wants to come here if they are told by recruits that are leaving that it was a waste of time. Oh, and to turn the NIT was absolutely an arrogant move. That's not us. The season equaled a NIT bid. We play it out. Players play.
Hubert should have played nickel more but at the same time he was ranked in the 80s in his recruiting class and sucks on defense can’t believe he threw in the towel and ran after 1 season.
The Nickel transfer points to one of a couple of things. One, he was lying when he said he knew he would be sitting this year and he actually expected to play more. Two, he expected to sit, but there is something deeper going on in the locker room that he no longer wanted to deal with. Three, RJ and Caleb might be coming back, and with the addition of the freshmen coming in he sees less time if any next year. Either way, if we keep the recruits already committed, we won't miss him.
HD not knowing when and how to substitute is the cause of this. You have to play players when they come to play for you. Unless he fix his weakness he will be out in five years
They need to offer Jason Rivera Torres from John Marshall on Virginia. He’s a senior and legit! Just led his team to the state championship and they went undefeated. He would fit greatly with UNC
