For sixty plus years Carolina has been a basketball powerhouse. Going forward I have serious doubts that will continue. I think Hubert Davis was probably the wrong choice as coach but that will play out over the next couple of years. He faces a difficult task. I ask, where are the players coming from that will improve upon this years team? Bacot is returning. He's a decent player but he's injury prone and slow. Looks like everyone else is leaving like rats from a sinking ship. I don't see the Heels getting rid of Hubert even if next year is a disaster. Look at how long they kept the disaster of a football coach John Bunting. Unless there's some type of a scandal they tend to give coaches a lot of time. As a UNC fan I just have an ominous feeling about the future.

The loss of Brady Manek is the simple answer to what happened. He’s the main reason there was any success last year.

Get a new coach

Wing Chu Meditation says:

If Hubert leaves he will have to fire himself

Anybody who says fire Hubert is and idiot

Wing Chu Meditation says:

There is nothing wrong with Hubert so let me put that to rest he lead them to the national championship game so you may as well get used to it Hubert isn’t leaving anytime soon

Wing Chu Meditation says:

Love Davis are not leaving no way bacot comes back if them two or even one of them leaves period

I'm hearing Ian Jackson gonna go to St. John's

Jay Clemons says:

I agree with Joe. They are not the same program under Hubert. Truly they are just one of the guys now.

William Massenburg says:

no matter who you get, you have to develop a bench and play them.

I have been watching since I saw Vince Carter on tv in ‘98. This was the least fun I’ve ever seen UNC players have playing basketball. Least smiles I’ve ever seen on and off the court. Not sure what that means but just an observation. Hopefully no matter where they play they find the joy again

James Zealy says:

The issue I saw, is something was not right in the locker room, or two players who were sure to get more minutes go into the transfer portal. Something just did not feel right, especially towards the end of the year.
