Having already reviewed UNC’s 2022-23 backcourt of RJ Davis, Caleb Love, D’Marco Dunn, and Seth Trimble, we now move to the wings, led by Leaky Black’s fifth season, along with Puff Johnson, Tyler Nickel, and Dontrez Styles. Unfortunately, Black is out of eligibility and the other three have all transferred, elaving the wing cupboard bare. Coach Hubert Davis will have to replace and re-fill the position in the transfer portal. As we reflect – what is Leaky Black’s legacy at North Carolina?
North Carolina got 16.8% of their scoring from these four players and a combined 29.8 three-point percentage. Going forward, the Tar Heels are going to need better offensive production from their ‘3’ position.

With RJ Davis and Trimble we are going to have 2 short guards. We need 3 or 4 players to play the wing or to use running a 4 guard type of offense. 6 6 size with long arms, pretty much 3 more Leaky Blacks who can shoot.
A new stat should be started for what Leaky did,how many times held a teams top scorer under their ppg average
Isaac I don't agree with your shooting percentage total from the combined 3 position because it makes Tyler and Styles look as if they had a large hand in the dreadful shooting from that position,maybe if those two had more playing time the percentage might have been better
Rj and Mando were our offense this year. They were elite and we got them back so we can build a good offense we just need shooting, shooting, and more shooting.
UNC could definitely benefit from an athletic 6'6" 3 guard/4. But certainly not four guards. A quick athletic shooting 6'8" 4 would work well with Hubert's system.
They NEVER ran a play for Tyler. never.

I mean if we don’t get more wings we may have to run some 3 guard lineups by pure necessity which I’m all good with but I hope the coaching staff is onboard with doing more of that.
