ESPN (Jeff Borzello) released their most recent way-too-early Top 25 college basketball rankings on Monday. North Carolina has moved up from 23rd to 19th. Host Isaac Schade thinks that’s not only too high, but that the Tar Heels shouldn’t currently be ranked at all, despite getting back RJ Davis and Armando Bacot. Hubert Davis’ squad needs to prove they belong before they should be invited to the party.
In the top 25 blurb, Borzello lists his projected starting lineup for North Carolina, which includes Cormac Ryan, Simeon Wilcher, and Harrison Ingram in addition to Davis and Bacot. Isaac Schade’s starting lineup is the same but switching Jae’lyn Withers in and Wilcher out. Who’s correct?
KJ Davis tweeted again on Monday, but only to say that he had been silenced; still no news. The tennis (men’s and women’s) NCAA Tournament brackets were revealed on Monday evening, with the women No. 1 overall and the men No. 16 overally.

I feel like we finish ranked 10-15 and earn a 3 or a 4 seed in the NCAAs.
They have teams who’s starting 5 will be 80% freshman ranked in the top 10 I think us at 19 is a fine ranking
19-20 is fine
I've got a sneaky feeling the HEELS will be shooting in the near 40-43% range from the floor, with a high 35-37% from three. Also, I am still in the school of thinking that Coach Davis can "platoon", 5 in, 5 out, most schools this coming season. We have the talent.
Maybe being that high will drive fight, grit and determination among the players!
I have to totally agree with you Issac. No ranking until we've been tried by fire. There are still a lot of moving parts outta place. I hope Trimble and Dunn stay, but we have so many guards currently.
These guys need to show they deserved to be ranked.
Im okay with the ranking. I think this years team will have better chemistry which will result in better play. Armondo and RJ can really run the team and that's a good thing.

Issac Schade I don’t like Carolina basketball to be high ranking yet, because they are not ready to be ranked, this what happened they are not ready period. They need to start bottom, and then work the way up.

Every year preseason. Rankings. Are based on what people think of your team? Not actually what they have done. That is why a lot of those one and done teams always drink real high.. But you are right they haven't did anything yet. But that's what I say every year about most teams. But preseason rankin is just that preseason no one knows how it's gonna turn out. Last year we was preseason ranked number one. Because we got everyone back. So on paper everybody thought we will be better. But it do not work like that. I personally think we have gotten yester front last year. So if we was preseason number one last year. And I feel we got better. Why can't we be in the top twenty preseason. But time will tell. It's called projecting! So how does kentucky and duke be number #1 with highschool players every year. Unc atleast have their two top players.
We will be better. We should be a top 25 pre-season team. 19 seems fair. Hoping we can stay in the top 15 all season!
