The transfer portal for menâs basketball closes Thursday evening at 11:59pm. Currently, North Carolina has lost six players in the portal â Caleb Love, Puff Johnson, Tyler Nickel, Dontrez Styles, Justin McKoy, and Will Shaver â while adding Harrison Ingram, Cormac Ryan, Jaeâlyn Withers, and Paxson Wojcik. Once the portal closes, student-athletes canât transfer and play immediately; they can, however still commit to a new school if theyâre already in the portal.
The question for North Carolina becomes: Will the Tar Heels lose any more players to the portal? If so, who? And how do you factor into those decisions the fact that UNC still has two more scholarships they can hand out? If youâre a player, how do you process the timeline to make that decision with incomplete information?

Just a suggestion. Iâm an everydayer. Maybe give a shoutout to a different everydayer just to give some love to the fans. Hint I would be number 1
I would be more likely to regularly listen to your podcasts Isaac if they were shorter and not so repetitive.
If I was Seth, and I love UNC, then I might take a red shirt year if Cadeau reclassifies.
We should appreciate dmarco loyalty. He got recruited by Roy, stayed for Hubert, didnât play first 2 seasons like he shouldâve and still is with the team despite his minutes next year not being certain.
Isaac you gotta cut out all the fat in your speech. You take a paragraph to say what could be said in 3 words
When you look at the make up of the roster the obvious answer is Dunn. The 2 spot is loaded and if Elliot comes in RJ will move to the 2 spot as well. Just don't see too much playing time for him.
That empty locker wrecked me too! đ. College basketball just isnât the same.
If I were Trimble, having Cadeau reclassify would actually make me more likely to stay. Seth is getting limited minutes this year regardless of Elliot's decision barring a massive off season skill development on his part. With Cadeau moving up a year, the door for heavy PT and even a starting spot opens up for Trimble the next year. These opportunities won't exist if Cadeau remains in the 2024 class.
Listening to y'alls conversation this morning, I want to try and slip on Coach Davis' shoe's foramoment. After last seasons performance, Coach Davis needs to win this next season…. The fan's demand it.. The Alumni demand it, and it's just expected at Carolina..
Unfortunately, the college landscape has changed, in my opinion, for the worst.. Developing young men into a team is pretty much a thing of the past. It's like playing a game of poker now. We'll discard these particular cards, and go draw a new handful of cards from the deck, and hope we get a couple Ace's… That's not ideal, but it's all we have to work with at the moment. I don't like it, but what are ya gonna do!!! đŽ
