At this point, it’s all too clear: Elliot Cadeau needs to re-classify and come on to Chapel Hill with the 2023 class. The combination of what he can already do and what that skill set would mean for the current roster is too good to pass up. In the transfer portal / NIL era, you have to take when you can get when it’s ready to be had.
If Cadeau comes, the starting lineup for next season likely looks quite a bit different. Previously, host Isaac Schade had suggested a starting lineup of RJ Davis, Cormac Ryan, Harrison Ingram, Jae’lyn Withers, and Armando Bacot. However with Cadeau in the mix, Schade would choose Cadeau, Davis, Ryan, Ingram, and Bacot.
Leaky Black has been invited to the G League’s Camp from which a few players will be invited to the official NBA Combine.

I’ve seen several years of Tar Heels standing around the three point line passing the ball to each other until the clock the runs down & someone (Love usually) gets the hot potato & has to force a bad shot. Who is going to score on this team of passers?
That is just too many guards. If he Come I will be happy. Because I believe he is a great player. I just think he'll be better off with better athletes And I believe we have better athletes coming next year with Drake and. Is jackson come in. That's just my two cents
As a long-time Carolina fan (since 1982), of course I always want us to have winning seasons. However, let’s let these kids be kids and stay in high school without the constant pressure to reclassify! The time for college will come, but let him and the other players enjoy this time in their lives. Just my $.02 worth.

If he comes, Hubert’s moves in the transfer portal go from meh to confusing & poorly chosen.
The coaches should have been ahead of this. They skipped the NIT & then recruited a bunch of guards when they should have made understanding if Cadeau was reclassifying a top priority.
I like the team we have. Someone will transfer out

I respectfully but strongly disagree with this. This roster was clearly built a specific way. We already have a lot of guards on this roster. I guarantee at least one of them will be disappointed with their minutes this upcoming season. Adding in Cadeau would just amplify that issue and potentially throw a wrench into the team chemistry. I've mentioned this before, but this upcoming season also seems to be a bit of a reconstructive and experimental season for Coach Davis and staff. I want Cadeau coming into a more defined program with well-defined roles and lineups. While seeing him dish crazy passes to Mando would be real fun to watch, we have plenty of capable passers AND shooters this season to make it possible for Mando to get the ball and dominate. We only get Cadeau for one year, so I say we should use it for the class that he was clearly recrutited for. If you think Mando and Cadeau would be an insane duo, just wait for Cadeau and Ian Jackson.
The thing that concerns me is body and mind maturity, so many kids think they are ready but when the results show they aren’t. Ultimately it’s his decision but watching a player against high schoolers and when reality hits you are playing against 4 and 5 year older players is a huge culture shock even to an outstanding athlete.
Kendall looked good from day one. I recall many of us complaining about Drew starting over him. When Kendall came off the bench, immediately, the Heels looked better. We were like, why is he not starting. Even the players during some of the post game PCs would make comments suggesting they felt better when he was on the court. Once he started, UNC became a contender and were a poor shooting night away from another FF.
Love Elliott but we have a log jam in the backcourt
I wanna win. Elliot Cadeau is the key to this team. Without a true facilitator at the ☝🏿 I believe we will have more of the same.
This guy will get everyone involved. Kansas St. had a pure PG this year in Markquis Nowell and that guy was a nightmare for defenses.
Cadeau should come. Cadeau should be given the keys. Let the chips fall where they may.

Mondo was getting the ball last year, but what are you gonna do when you're being double and triple teamed?? That won't happen this year because of all the snipers recruited through the portal. We're loaded at the guard position. We can't develop players if we continue recruiting over them with one and dones. This would not be a good look for Carolina to bring in Elliott at this time, IMHO.
IF EC COMES THEN RJ SLIDES TO THE 2 SPOT BUT I THINK EC SHOULD STAY IN 2024 CLASS BECAUSE HE WILL HAVE MORE TALENT TO PLAY WITH
