Dylan Sinn on Whether Indiana Basketball Should Pursue Caleb Love
Yesterday Caleb Love decommitted from Michigan and re-entered the transfe portal. Dylan Sinn joins us to talk about whether #iubb should pursue the former UNC standout.
This is actually the third time Michigan had issues with a potential transfer- Nojel Eastern was unable to transfer from Purdue to Michigan in 2020 and ended up at Howard
I see great defensive potential there . If he is willing to put aside a personal agenda somehow I'd love to have him at IU. It's a roll of the dice but man that would put us at final 4 potential, we may be there already though. I think Gunn and Banks are out to prove doubters wrong. I also think Woodson kinda kept them on the shelf on purpose last year.
My only question would be could he adjust after having a green light like that last year. 7 3s a game shooting 30% is the definition of you have near complete total choice. Just saying that is gonna be a huge adjustment. If he is a one and done that makes that adjustment even more complicated. My gut says it’s not the right fit but the kid can play and I’m no coach lol. I would love to be in coaches head on this decision on going for him or not. Especially since the recent recruiting success. Lastly do we really want to take a player Michigan would not let in? So many things to consider but I’m just excited for the future of IU basketball. Sure is nice to not think we have to get him because he would be the best on the team immediately. Somthing to say for having the ability to make decisions like this again.
If CMW could coach him into becoming a guy who can efficiently contribute within the flow of the offense instead of playing hero ball, that would be an incredible achievement.
I thoight May 11 was the last day they could put in for the transfer portal?
I say get him and finalize the roster. Then send team on a summer trip to Europe playing everyone.
PLEASE DON'T!

Try to get a talent like Love for the roster and if he can't play within Woodson's system, then he can sit on the bench.

i say get him… we got a spot for a a talented 2.. even if he isn't efficient i think its a huge get
