Duke managed to get backup big men two years in a row. So it's possible through the portal. Especially late in the game.

"Shooting" last year wasn't the problem. "Accuracy" was the problem. What I don't understand is with UNC having a couple of the all time best 3 point guys in the business as coaches, why couldn't they "coach" Caleb Love's shooting woes?? Even though Caleb is gone, this still bothers me. Caleb's inconsistencies could have and should have been fixed, but maybe that's why he's gone?? Just uncoachable?? So many questions.
I agree with you about Washington having a breakout season. Possibly the X Factor in UNC's success, IF another Big isn't brought in.

I have this weird feeling that Jalen Washington is going to surprise a lot of people. I think he is the player that is going to have a huuuuge break out season. He might, might, start the season as a bench player. But I doubt he will stay there. He will be a starter because he is that good of a player.
Kind of hard to have this discussion because is this the final roster having 3 scholarships left ? I would hope not .
