North Carolina got great news on Tuesday morning when class of 2024 PG Elliot Cadeau officially announced that he was reclassifying to 2023. Cadeau should slot immediately into the starting point guard position alongside RJ Davis in the backcourt with Armando Bacot the anchor of the frontcourt. How does his decision affect the class of 2023? 2024? What will the starting lineup look like? How many scholarships do the Tar Heels have remaining and how might they use them?

The men’s golf team beat Arizona St. in the NCAA quarterfinals but lost to Georgia Tech later Teusday afternoon in the semifinals.

I believe there is a real world in which Elliot plays point guard in both 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, especially if he tries to go from 1st round to lottery pick in the NBA. He may do what Harrison Barnes did and go two years in college to play with Ian before jumping into the draft.

Well now! EC spices up the mix a good bit. Coach Davis has to let this young man go and not saddle him with set plays so much. Coach gets to be more creative with line-ups now and should be able to use his depth more and I hope he does because it is getting to be loaded with usable quality talent top to bottom. Nobody should have to rot on the pine this year!

I love the diversity of comments. The good, the bad and the indifferent. That is to be expected. Will he walk in and automatically be an instant hit? No. Will he have work to do? Most definitely. Is he willing to do so? I believe so. And to add the fact that Marcus Paige is there to work with him and the other guards is a huge plus. Blending those two together like he and Berry were together and make it work. Would you want him anywhere else?
I think jalen Washington is going to have a break out season. Washington is probably going to be the 4, with Cormac giving us a "microwave" off the bench
I like how the kid plays b/c he's a true true PG..he obviously can score but it's clear he is a flat out play maker 1st. That is a much better backcourt compliment for RJ who is a much more score 1st PG and def not another guard that is jacking up 24 shots…plus I'm sure Hubert will go for another high level PG to replace him in that '24 class…and people need to relax about a small line up at times b/c that's not abnormal in bball anymore…nobody is lining up all 6'6 and up guys lol

He is a better playmaker that will make RJ an even more dangerous scorer. I get the short guard on defense argument, but I will take the trade off. The athleticism will be an offset.
I'm excited about him coming, but are we jumping the gun by expecting him to be as good or even better than RJ Davis? Davis is a senior with 3 full years of experience. I think this kid still has alot of work and development to go through.
