Simeon Wilcher, most recently rated No. 34 overall in the 2023 class by 247Sports, has asked for his release from his #NorthCarolina #collegebasketball commitment. One of these days a guy like Wilcher is going to jump from UNC to Duke or a Mgbako is going to jump from Duke to UNC. It's bound to happen. And then, man, it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong.
In college basketball there's not more building for the future, you have to build for each upcoming season. You're likely to lose at least half of you team every year, even the new recruits. The turnover in rosters are unbelievable.
So pretty much, if you are a new recruit, there is less reason to go to a major school unless you are going to start, or unless you will be getting some burn. Which we know, Hubert has a spotty reputation developing role and bench players.
