North Carolina's Maye Family | ACC's Best Fathers & Sons

The Maye family is widely considered the “First family of UNC athletics.” Mark Maye got things going at Carolina, as he started at quarterback in the 80s and led the team to the Honolulu Bowl in 1986. Luke Maye was an All-American and two-time All-ACC nominee as he helped lead the Tar Heels to a National Championship in basketball in 2017. Drake Maye is the current starting quarterback for the Heels and earned ACC Player of the Year honors following his first season as starter. Lastly, Beau Maye walked onto the UNC basketball team last season and looks to contribute to a strong run by the Tar Heels in 2023-24. Look back at this successful family, and let us know if this is one of the best father-son groupings in ACC history.
