North Carolina class of 2024 Ian Jackson is working on his point guard skills and that growth will make him all the more lethal as a basketball player. Jackson has made the USA U19 team which will compete in the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup in Hungary during the last week of June. Jackson is one of just four high schoolers on the roster, but is being asked by head coach (& Colorado head coach) Tad Boyle to take an active & vocal leadership role. Jackson already has two gold medals. How will Jackson’s experiences this time around continue to help prepare him for college?

I personally hope Seth progresses to the point he takes over in 24. The Ian can fill in for him when he is on the branch getting a break.

I have a question for you and Pac on Stevenson that he commits to tarheels ,may reclassified come in 23 we do have some scholarship room my belive not all of it so he can be close to his family and the family atmosphere there on and off the court

BOOGIE! BOOGIE! BOOGIE! He's the biggest reason it's 100% ok Elliott reclassed and why it's not a big an impact to Ian. They are very good friends, both NYC kids who love to compete against each other and Ian has said several times he's doing his best Bacot to get Boogie to Chapel Hill. Side note, UNC is still his only official to date.
But seriously. It's intelligent and self aware to understand as a guard he needs to develop as a secondary playmaker. Too many guards come into the league who can score but offer no depth to their game (Anthony Edward, Jalen Green) they can score but that's it. Take two guys who learned later into their career to develop playmaking skills (Devin Booker and Bradley Beal) they've become even more deadly offensively now (both average 5+assists) because you can't just play them to score, they can also create for others.
Hate him or love him, that's what took James Harden to another level as an offensive threat.

Futher into your video this morning, I hear what you're saying about "elite" point guard potential for UNC in 24-25. IMO Seth Trimble will be THAT elite PG. All he's got left to work on basically is his shooting. And that my friend, shouldn't be a problem at this stage of his career. His pure athleticism will allow him to rise above the competition and focus purely on his form and accuracy. He's definitely got ALL the tools to make it happen. Look out for Seth Trimble. He's going to be very entertaining.
