Mock Draft Monday: UNC QB Drake Maye is the top pick over USC QB Caleb Williams

Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings dropped a spicy 2024 NFL Mock Draft. DP and Keith went through the entire first round. Which picks stood out to them? DP is confused by the Chicago Bears selecting another defensive tackle after draft two in 2023 but not before passing on Jalen Carter out of Georgia. Keith does not understand the Denver Broncos’ selection of Texas Longhorn WR Xavier Worthy. He likes the player but is confused by the fit. Is Jeff Sims the next Anthony Richardson of the 2024 NFL Draft class? DP believes he is a potential riser into the first round and maybe a top-10 pick.

Caleb gets picked at #4 in the draft? Man. I am out of here … as an FYI, Drake May did not even get invited to NYC … besides, the ACC has been sucking as of late! The ACC had one single team in the top 25 at the end of the season, whereas Pac – 12 had 5 teams in the top 20. Also, ya forgot that Kliff Kingsbury was brought in to coach QBs for 2023. Also, do not forget how Coach Ruley coached Jalen Hurts back to life, and now he is thriving in the NFL … but then I can clearly see ya ain't big fans of SC!

Two battles i don't think are close to being over the battle for WR1 and the battle for OT1. it's fair to like Marvin Harrison Jr. i'm warming up to him, he seems like Larry fitz-ish and i like dat but ehhh, man 1st of all, Him vs Rome Odunze is a conversation War rooms are gonna really need to have low low about Which of them is better than each other, who does that role of big frame WR better. i doubt the media at large catches on to that maybe this year itself decides that debate quickly. they're just very comparable. physical intangibles wise, and i'm already excited to see the gap between their draft position because if the loser of that battle is Odunze and he goes day 2 it's possible Harrison Jr. seems over drafted and Odunze is just a steal. but honestly with Marvin, I'm not sure he's the best WR on his own team, and Xavier Worthy and Troy Franklin have every chance in the world to rise to be top cream of the crop of this group.

At Tackle, i like mims, i think he's among to the top names on the low, this thing is so close at the moment. Jordan Morgan could be the top tackle off the board at the end of the night 1 and it wouldn't shock me, there's a high variance here, i also just think those two groups are really strong.

lol thank god neither of ya'll wrote this ehhh i won't sweat it because it was Ian cummings. if it was tony Pauline i would've glitched and whats annoying is Trevor Lawrence i don't think his entire draft year i don't think he was mocked out of 1 once, even when numbers wise and traits wise there was points you could've and maybe even should've mocked him out of it. (i still don't think trevor vs Justin is over, Justin has refused at every single point to dead that conversation Btw he's nagged Trevor his whole life real talk) and they consider Trevor this generational dude, and ive never understood why and for me Caleb is as good honestly to me theres no question he's better than Trevor Lawrence everywhere besides height and arm strength and arm strength wise its too close to care. maybe i just shouldn't compare but… it just bothers me that from my evaluation and from a lot of evaluations perspective we have an all time great prospect here in Caleb Williams and we can't show him unanimous love that honest to god he deserves. it isn't close right now to start this blasphemy. i am open to someone taking QB1. There should be no suggestions that someone might actually do that coming off a Heisman season for Caleb. i'm still lost, i need someone to tell me what makes Trevor Lawrence a more valuable prospect than Caleb. i don't even remember anyone explaining why Trevor is generational unanimous #1 overall prospect, while every other QB prospect should be questioned. i feel people talked about him in platitudes. he never did anything as a college player, that should make him MORE lauded than Caleb in my mind. but i'm begging someone to clarify for me.
