North Carolina has experienced a rich history of elite guards. Do they have a shot at the top guard prospect in the class of 2025? Darryn Peterson is billed as a shooting guard but has the requisite capabilities to add point guard duties.

The Tar Heels recently received verbal commitments from two secondary players in the class of 2024 – TyShun White out of Buford High School in Buford, GA and Jalon Thompson out of Olympia High School in Orland, FL. White is the third four-star level commit in the class as Mack Brown and company look to add top-end talent at various positions around the field.
