North Carolina head men’s basketball coach Hubert Davis held his summer press conference on Thursday and discussed a multitude of topics including working to understand what went wrong last season. Coach Davis eyed two key areas of concern to be rectified this season: three point shooting and sharing the basketball. Given the return of RJ Davis, adding in Cormac Ryan, Paxson Wojcik, and Jae’lyn Withers, the Heels should take a step forward shooting from deep. With the additions of Elliot Cadeau and Harrison Ingram, Carolina’s assist numbers should skyrocket.
Coach Davis also discussed how the team needs to continue to focus on “discipline and details” in order to achieve everything they’re looking for.

Carolina does not have a sharing the ball problem. All they have done for the last 3 years is stand around the three point line passing the ball to each other.
Problem is no one turns the sharing into scoring so there are no assist stats. But boy do they waste time passing/sharing the ball non stop.
Team's chemistry will be the most vital aspect of Carolinas success .
I think one thing that Coach Davis said we under value is the effect of players having an agent. For the most part agents have 1 thing in mind is how much money this player is going to make me and when you add that to a player’s ear and influence to the family then coupled with NIL and portal it has changed college sports to professional sports and in my mind that’s a bad thing.
That's a nice update about D'Marco and Puff being projected as starters at Penn State, as well as Dawson at Minnesota. Thanks for giving us updates on them even after they are no longer Tarheels.
