North Carolina At Chapel Hill

North Carolina basketball recently revealed their roster and jersey numbers for 2023-24. The majority of the returners stayed the same (Armando Bacot – 5, RJ Davis – 4, Jalen Washington – 13) while Seth Trimble took advantage of the new NCAA rule and grabbed No. 7. While the names and numbers and heights and weights are fun – what’s interesting about UNC’s roster is the number of upperclassmen. Carolina must take advantage of that veteran presence.

The ACC released it’s preseason media poll following ACC media days. The Tar Heels are slotted third and one of four teams to receive first place votes. A big takeaway is the schedule difficulty which actually turns out to be quite average if the preseason projections hold (which they never do).

Conference realignment had perhaps its most infamous day on Friday with all but four teams from the Pac 12 now leaving for different conferences. What does it all mean for fans, student-athletes, and, most importantly, the Tar Heels?
