It is five weeks to the day before North Carolina tips off the 2023-24 college basketball season hosting Radford on Monday, November 6. With that said, it’s time to look at a couple “lists of 5” to get prepped for the season.
First up: What are the five MUST-WATCH non-Duke games of the season? It’s the battles with Tennessee, UConn, Kentucky, at NC State, and hosting Miami. Make sure you tune in for all those.
Second: What are some of the records that might fall? Armando Bacot has several in his sights. RJ Davis might light up the three-point line at historic levels. Could Elliot Cadeau set freshman assist records?
Finally: What are the things that need to be fixed from last season to get back to being “North Carolina”? Team three-point shooting, assist percentage, playing at pace, and more!

I believe that the new Mindset and Philosophy should be, play every game as a tournament game. Because at any given night, you can lose. It’s win and go on or lose and go home for the next season.
These are all great picks for games to watch for and I agree. I will also add that we shouldn't write the early "cupcake" games off as if we can't get any info from them. Last season the team struggled even against them but most of us wrote it off and expected us to get better. My point is that we can learn a lot from even the easier games, although we can only learn to an extent.
Anywhere i can stream UNC Basketball games live or next day? Not down with normal tv systems .
I think Andrew Jones from "Inside Carolina" makes a couple great points about this year's team. Number 1 is we've got 5 guys on this team who were team captains of their respective teams last year. Can you say EXPERIENCE & LEADERSHIP!!! Not to mention their shooting %'s. 2nd, this team has some proven "dawgs" on this roster. We've got some great things going for us this year. These boys are hungry for a Natty.
Honorable mention is "depth"!!! Very little drop-off in talent when looking down the bench for substitutions 😮…. This is a luxury Carolina hasn't had in recent years. The HEELS are going to run their opponents into the ground by the end of the 3rd quarter. Going to be fun times in Chapel Hill this year…
