Me personally it doesn't matter who starts I say play the ones who shows up and show out in practice and shows who wants to play for the name on the front of the jersey
Ok, nothing new from this everydayer. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it until proven otherwise. 5 in, 5 out!! That simple. I've done it when I coached and it simply works. The opponent has NO FREAKIN CLUE how to defend 10-12 different guys. We are THAT DEEP.

Hubert would get destroyed in the recruiting trail if he doesn’t start a high five star high school national champion, MVP and potential lottery pick in Cadeau by at least mid season. Hubert is making Cadeau earn everything and that is very smart. Both Coach Smith and Williams did that in their coaching tenures. This Team will be night and day different than last years team. I believe that the overall IQ, chemistry, athleticism and tenacity will be far better with this years team. Cadeau will make everyone’s job easier especially RJ, Bacot and Cormac

Is it really starters/not starters or is it upperclassmen v underclassmen? I wouldn't hang my hat on PW starting over EC.
I think RJ is gone after this your, as long as he stays healthy. If healthy and he gets to play shooting guard with a top notch point, I believe he is going to have a very good year.

I think they have Elliot on the 2nd team during practice to go against the starters and rj to sharpen him for his starting role imo
Here's my thoughts on the Cadeau practice situation; I've been thinking about it ever since Media Day footage was released.
1. You said it yourself, Trimble and Withers were not playing. Assuming Cadeau is a planned starter for the group, then Trimble would lead the blue-team as the point. However, in this situation, Cadeau would be the only true point guard option with Trimble not practicing. I could see them splitting him from the main white team in this scenario. It also explains Wojcik playing on the white team as without Withers he's likely the best wing option other than Ingram.
2. Cadeau needs to be going against RJ Davis a lot in practice. This will give him experience playing and guarding against experienced ACC guards. If we want Cadeau to be a good defender at his size then this is the best way to ensure that.
3. This is one of several practices. There was practice footage released last year of Bacot on the blue team and Nance on the white team and yet they both started together. While we can take away information from one lone practice, it's important to not jump to wild conclusions from them.
Long post, I know, but those are my thoughts on the ordeal. I still see Cadeau starting because he's just the best point guard option we have. At least, I'm very much hoping he starts.

I think coach might want a faster pace with fewer risky passes than he gets with EC rn based on his feedback in that practice and the fact that he has him on the blue team. Perhaps his game has to be tweaked a bit to be a starter at this level.

Elliot has to be our PG. He can push tempo and that gives us better shots because defenses can't get set. If Elliott doesn't start the beginning of the season he'll definitely start by January. Mark it down. He's our best point and it's not a debate. Why would Coach not do that. I think he starts though.
Bacot, Davis, Elliot, Ryan, and Withers are who I'd like to see start. Just make sure 9-10 guys get minutes for the experience and team chemistry.
