I was hoping that last year he'd be able to face up and shoot a lil 8 fter….and he needs a counter move down on the block with his pivot game. He should eat against Duke this season. If Davis exploits the mismatches. And hopefully he can get about 30-32 minutes a game with help on the bench. Bring back the tired signal!
Another Porky story, I absolutely love it. As I've said before I have known Porky for well over 20 years. He has been my teacher, coach, and then good friend. He is a legend in the Valley and has the respect of everyone who knows him. I can't wait to get Coach Rob's book and hear the stories, especially since my guy is in it.
I think a huge factor for his offensive decline was teams doubling him. No shade to these two guys but Nance and Black weren’t offensive threats, so teams were helping off of those guys to double Mando. It happened a lot toward the second half of the season. I’m hoping this year’s team has offensive threats 1-5, and I think that will help also.
Armando can be better and we need him to be better for us to reach our goals.
prime example and one of the most upsetting was PJ hairston the summer before what would have been his last season in Chapel Hill. unfortunately a couple bad decisions on his part cost him and the team. what could have been an amazing run. from my understanding, Roy Williams said that PJ was playing as well as anyone he had ever coached going into that last year. sadly we never got to see it and I don't think PJ really ever recovered after that
