North Carolina’s margins of victory thus far aren’t wildly dissimilar from last year’s, but yet we feel that this team is infinitely better. Why so? Is it that Armando Bacot and RJ Davis are a year older? Is it that the complementary pieces are better, including Harrison Ingram and Cormac Ryan?

Of the remaining seven scholarship players (Jalen Washington, Elliot Cadeau, Jae’lyn Withers, Seth Trimble, Paxson Wojcik, Zayden High, and James Okonkwo), who will be the fifth-leading scorer? Does it seem like a silly exercise? Perhaps, but it’s derived from wondering who will step up in a way that’s potentially unexpected?

We need Athletes…Everyone talks about Shooters which is important but how many perimeter guys do we have that can require a double team for our shooters to shoot open shots? We’ve hardly had explosive athletes in a very long time.
If a team has good guard play and a big guy like we have you'll be fine .Chemistry doesn't show up on the scoreboard and this team will have that.
Elliots shooting is atrocious right now. To enhance his skillset, passing, this team needs to rimrun, no fanning to the 3 point line. The 3 as an option makes sense but not as a first option. They need to watch film of the marshall, barnes, zeller, henson, bullock team
i too compared the two boxes for the 1st 2 2022 and 2023 games and yes, the results were very similar. today's team looks like a group of kids that will be humming as we get into the ACCR. 2022 looked unprepared and uninspired but they were more talented than the opposition with a lot of experience playing with each other.
It is encouraging to see no one playing 30+ minutes. I hope that continues as the games get harder.
Still no three point shooters. It’s going to be hard to maintain spacing if someone doesn’t start hitting their threes.
So far this team is not impressive & seems to be very similar to all the teams of the last 4 or 5 years. But I try not to make up my mind until January.
