North Carolina had a dominant victory on Friday night over UC-Riverside behind another 20-point performance from Armando Bacot. But other players stepped up to help – namely Carolina’s two returning sophomores, Seth Trimble and Jalen Washington, who each scored 11 and shot a combined 9-12 from the field. Will UNC ‘s three-point shooting improve? Will the depth continue to be utilized in the Battle 4 Atlantis?
It was a tough Saturday in Death Valley for the Tar Heels. The game started out strong, but Carolina wasn’t able to take advantage of 1st Quarter opportunities that might have put them in position to ultimately win the game.
UNC Field Hockey Coach Erin Matson went from winning her 4th national championship as a player last year to doing the same as a 23-year old coach this year. It’s unreal stuff. Men’s & Women’s soccer both advance in their respective NCAA Tournaments.

It looks like Coach Frederick is handling the substitution patterns. I'm wondering if they enter each game now with a plan to insert players at certain points. Seems like we've got about 2 guys each game who are at the scorers table around the 16 minute timeout.
I do expect jay washington to hit threes. I think he can and will be a very good three point shooter
I'm concerned about outside shooting, Cormac needs to start hitting his 3s
Shooting is concerning for me with this team and also the lack of rebounding. After three games and shooting from home…..they should have a better 3 pt shooting percentage! I'd pack it in on Bacot and make them hit the 3's.

Pretty sure you're not SUPPOSED to be able to strip the ball from someone while you are out of bounds, a ton of the calls on Carolina were atrocious at best. The NCAA needs to hold the officials accountable, and start handing out fines and suspensions to officials for such egregious job performances
UNC has to start making 3s or attack the basket more. They have good shooters. They just need to make them. But don’t rely on the 3 point shooting. There are other ways to score points and defend on the perimeter better. And start running more, more fast break points.

I don't know what has happened to our marksmanship but if it doesn't return teams are going to pack the paint and Armando is going to become less effective. Guys have to make shots, guard, and block out for rebounds.
Just face it the North Carolina football team can't win the big games because their defense can't play with the elite teams.and on offense it seems like they just kept jumping offsides Drake Maye was getting sacked all the time and last the referees made some bad calls at critical times especially roughing the passer that was terrible!!
