North Carolina withstood a furious Tennessee comeback effort to pick up a big 100-92 home victory in the ACC/SEC Challenge. The Tar Heels led by as much as 24 in the second half, and the Volunteers closed the gap to as little as 7. 3 Tar Heels finished with 10 points, led by RJ Davis, who had 27 on 8-17 shooting (5-11 from range). Armando Bacot had 22 points and 11 boards, and Harrison Ingram had 20 points and shot 4-8 from range. Elliot Cadeau had 10 assists in the win. Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht scored a game-high 37 points before leaving with an injury late in the game.
