UCONN had just fallen prey to Kansas' switching defense and ate it up like a dessert snack. UNC missed more free throws than normal and were out rebounded plus UCONN hit a boatload of threes. Not many teams would have stood up to them on this occasion.
I have said this before. The difference was that UCONN made more 3s. And UNC did struggle on defense. But they had miss opportunities. If Carolina had made all of their free throws and made four more 3s, they would’ve won.
UConn is way better coached and more depth.. period
