No. 9 North Carolina only led for 16 seconds all game long, but the Tar Heels still nearly found a way to steal the win from No. 14 Kentucky on Saturday night. Instead, impressive poise by the Wildcats’ freshmen allowed Kentucky to escape Atlanta with a massive, resume-building 87-83 victory over UNC in the CBS Sports Classic.
Behind four players in double-figures, Kentucky led from nearly start to finish. UK only shot 42 percent from the field compared to 47 percent from North Carolina, but 12 more offensive rebounds for the ‘Cats played a significant role in the outcome. Rob Dillingham fueled Kentucky with 17 points while DJ Wagner chipped in 14 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Two more freshmen, Reed Sheppard and Aaron Bradshaw, added 11 and 12 points, respectively.

Must win game in December? I think it might help the seeding but there’s really no such thing as a must win game in December for a team like Kentucky or a UNC happy we won but not a must win

OMG!! Beating Carolina is not the huge win that everyone thinks it is!! Just like last year, Carolina is the most overrated team in college basketball!! Bacot is and has always been sooooo overrated that I'm sick of hearing it!! And hubert sucks as a head coach!! If it wasn't for RJ we would not even be in any game we've played in this season!! I definitely am going to say it if we had Bradshaw when going up against Kansas we would've won too. He gave bacot a run for his money and big mouth hunter would've got humbled. Man this has been the most excitement in years as a fan.
Congrats to yall. Second chance shots won that game for the Cats. Shooting 40% from the field they should have lost to Carolinas 47%. Them offensive rebounds were the difference.

This Kentucky team if they get and stay healthy has a super high upside. They can win it all, like I said they stay healthy and keep improving. They are very talented and have so many ways to beat and attack other teams.
Go back to my previous posts, I said this is Cal's best team, and this team will win it all. I haven't seen ANY team this team can't beat, and we are going to be MUCH better by March. MUCH better.
