one thing no one can put cal down for is the players he gets are good kids and continue to be good men. idk the ceiling for this team but they have brought back the enjoyment of watching ky basketball. it has nothing to do with talent either. U have a 7'2" guy playing as hard as anyone on the floor. Then u have thiero that plays even harder. The whole team just plays the game the way it should be played
Idc what anyone says coach cal is a Good coach! The fact that he can admit there is no system he plays to his team’s strengths! A lot of coaches at the lower level could learn a lot from that!
Im telling you all, Adou Thiero is the spark that lifts this team over an elite hump. He is a perfect role player. But he is really more than a role player. Plays with so much energy.
I may some stuff about Cal at times but there's no better coach for UK. As long as he recruits the best players he's the one that's the coach for them.
I love that Robert said his pops is there. Cal responds “tell him to stick around do not leave”. His relationship with these boys he coaches and their families is incredible. Criticize Cal all you want. He loves his players and turns all of them into outstanding young men. The same way Bobby Knight did.

This was a absolutely great win but there's one thing for sure. They've been guilty of teams coming back after leading the game by 10 points or more. Coaching staff needs to figuring out whats going on with Edwards he is absolutely struggling with his shooting and scoring. I also think theres a concern with Reeves ive noticed since the freshman been getting talked about alot he's getting really selfish with the ball theres been times where he passed up an open pass so he can try to be the man.
That might be the best interview I’ve ever heard from cal he doesn’t necessarily look happy but it seemed like he’s evolving with the game and that’s good to hear
