I was at the game and I graduated from UNC during the Dean Smith years but both my kids and their spouses went to Clemson. I was pleased to see a close game. The 10 point final score difference belies how close the game really was. It was a 3-5 point game with several lead changes until about the 3 minute mark. I am impressed with Clemson. You can’t foul them at the end of the game anymore because they hit their free throws. They played good defense with good rebounding. I like Brownell. He honestly has improved the Clemson program and his recruiting is good. The last 3-5 minutes keeps eluding him. I am not good enough to say what is needed to overcome that gap but they are a good team. Obviously a few more 3 pointers would have been nice and probably could have secured a win.
