Keatts has to be able to draw up some plays to get his guys (Horne, Taylor, Morsell) some easy looks to try to get them going when they are struggling. Keatts lives and dies by having 1 or 2 bucket getters because he has no offensive scheme or game plan. Last but not least, Keatts needs to tell MJ Rice to get down hill and attack the basket. The dude can't shoot AT ALL but stays on the perimeter jacking up threes lol just shameful
Concerning basketball coaching at NC State I try to be happy with the current state of things, but it is frustrating at times when you feel like both programs, men and women, should be further along with accomplishing their goals than they are, but you can live with the women's situation a little better than with the men's. It's as if our basketball programs were a reflection of Carolina's football team. The talent is there to be an ACC champion or an NCAA champion, but somehow, someway, we are going to figure out a way to let ourselves down and not play up to our full potential. That's a recurring theme with us and it gets tiresome seeing other teams progress from year to year while we are stuck in the mud. And yet I'd rather be a basketball program that at least gets to the 1st round of March Madness or the sweet 16 year upon year, as opposed to being relegated to doormat status.
This team’s not good enough, plain and simple. Keatts is going to miss the tournament 5/7 years and y’all still don’t wanna talk about whether or not he’s the guy… DD was 110% right, we’re NOT a basketball school. Let’s “keep it real” fellas, no PR answers now.
Taking my magnifying glass and looking for positives I see that despite only shooting 9.5% from three-point range and 26.9% from the field, we were in this game all the way up until late in the 2nd half. Rebounding was solid. We outrebounded them on offense. We blocked more of their shots. We shot better than them from the free throw line. So, while the Carolina loss did leave me feeling a little blue, there is light at the end of the tunnel. That said, how is it that the home team shoots so poorly on its own goals, while the guests are swishing everything?
We need a whole fleet of Stanley Steemers to get the dirty out of the rugs. SMH.

As much as it pains me that was a good team,#7, we lost to last night. I think we had 🌟 in our eyes 👀, the team, and in many instances forced up shots instead of running their offense to the max! I get the thought that a shooter can shoot their way out of a slump however, we don’t have Joiner and Baby T here this year so that same philosophy doesn’t apply IMHO! We don’t have the same streak shooters this year!
