I hope Coach Davis tells the team that they need to play 40 minutes of basketball. On defense and offense. Don’t let the other team get momentum. When the opponent gets momentum, they get confidence. Louisville started to get momentum and you saw them getting confidence. Everyone wants to beat UNC. Play smarter and with a chip on their shoulders.
They have to continue that defensive intensity for both halfs no slouching, no matter how big of a lead. If they can do that, they'll be champions once more. #GDTBATH 🐏
I think when North Carolina,s offense goes astray they have to do better on defense Louisville made too big of a run and they can't be. That complacent on better teams or they will definitely lose.
Seth Tremble to me will be one of the many deciding factors. Is defense it's top notch and when it comes to the tournament if you can't guard A team's point guard that puts you at an extreme disadvantage. Next to him it's Cormac Ryan. He's going to have to be able to shoot well especially come tournament time when teams Target RJ
For a 7' guy whose name is "Post", this is the first of his five seasons in which he's over 6.0 rebounds per game and over 1.0 block per game. Reminds me of the pitcher Bob Walk who had really good control and didn't walk a ton of people.
We actually fell 1 spot in ken pon bc we let Louisville make a run in t 2nd and cut it to 5. I think that's ridiculous.. a 16 point win to me is a ass whipping still but oh well we just gotta keep winning. GO HEELS!!!
Our offensive efficiency seems to nosedive at the end of the first half and during the end of games when we start milking the clock. Shouldn't UNC start their offense sooner. It seems like other teams can double RJ when he finally starts the offense and then UNC doesn't have time for another option.
Trimble, Washington and the other bench players, outside of Withers did not have a great offensive game. In fact I think they helped get Louisville back in the game with a little sloppy play and poor shooting. They were 0 for 6 and outside a few free throws didn't score and had more than a few turnovers. Washington should be an 8 point guy even off the bench, Trimble can score but he rarely is looking too do so. Pax just hasn't proved to be the shooter he was supposed to be.
I think our defense all the way around plus rebounding plus free throws is going to be a big factor in this game having us winning by just 8 is too low I see this with a 15 to 20 victory
Whomever can give us that tough defense and rebounding edge is the real Xfactor.
