Down 2 at UVA with seconds to play. Instead of setting up a double screen to give DJ Horne an open 3 to WIN the game, he goes to the DJ Burns well again, hoping that one of his floater hook shots will drop in and we get OT. Not very good "strategery" there, Coach.
Not mentioned here but can we at least hire a guy that plays the 5 stars he recruits… keatts has to be a WR holder in landing big time recruits and getting the absolute minimum out of them
Time to move on from Keatts, also DJ Burns has been significantly worse imo. Although hard to improve when you replace 2 NBA caliber guards with brick machines
Keatts doesn't even feel like a coach, he feels like a representative. Like where's the "coaching" happeneing?? He's all talk and nothing happens.
We need there net to be in the top 75 so please win some
Here’s a drastic change for ya…. One that I been calling for now for a long time…. FIRE KEATTS! At no point while Keatts has been there has he made State into a consistently viable team. In six years they’ve made the tournament two times, never advancing beyond the first round. Yet here we are, accepting mediocrity, as usual. The only reason we made it last year was because Burns was a bit of an adjustment for the league and he scored enough to keep us in it. Your best player cannot be an overweight big who can score loads of points in some games but cannot defend in any games.
There's only ONE drastic change needed here.
One game per year when you don’t play well!? Pack fans would cut their left arm off for just one game per season when they “don’t play well”.
DJ needs to shed 30 and get into shape. He is hurting the team by not being able to stay on the floor.
