I'm a UNC fand I'm thrilled right now but I'm not ready to crown them yet. I don't think they'll win out. Can they? Maybe. I'm not betting on it.
Tim, Tim, Tim. – I just checked the early score and the Wahoo Express appears to be on its way to a 7th straight win and heading straight for the Heels. UNC will go to Charlottesville on the 24th looking for their 1st win in TWELVE YEARS. You would have to go with the Hoos on that one, which gives them the tiebreaker advantage over UNC, who still has to travel to Duke, Miami, etc. And yet, you are claiming a HUGE CHASM between UNC and the rest of the league. Wake up, my friend. The Hoos win the regular season in the ACC almost every year because Tony Bennett, along with Everett Case, are the two best COACHES in the history of the ACC (defining a COACH as a person who develops the skills of his players, not having blue blood recruits handed to him). We won't even start on how many of Bacot's points were garbage putbacks under the basket.
PS – have you actually WATCHED UVA during the current win streak? Sounds like you haven't. Also, remember how Hubert was screaming at his players for not being able to get the ball inbounds against FSU? Imagine the same scenario against UVA's smothering defense. Update on tonight's game – Miami has played 25 minutes and has 19 points to UVA's 40.
UNC can win in so many different ways. I will give Coach Davis credit for using all his pieces effectively. THese guys would be a lock for the title game had Dontrez Styles come back, but I like this squad. Harrison Ingram reminds me a lot of Ademola Okulaja in the way he plays on both ends of the court. Its going to take them having a real stinker to get eliminated in the March tournaments
The crazy thing is Cormac hasn’t really been consistent all year but if he can get going and god forbid Elliot gets a consistent jump shot this team becomes unbeatable!
