Too much was different for North Carolina in its lead-up to Tuesday night. As much as Hubert Davis called the players out for their effort over the last two days, they never reached their usual level of zeal behind the scenes.
North Carolina couldn’t manage to self-correct the day of the game, either. According to Bacot, “three or four” players were late to shoot-around.
“This is probably our first game where I think the energy wasn’t there,” RJ Davis. “Especially from this type of group where we have a lot of personality and our energy’s effectiveness where everyone’s involved and everyone brings it.”
Check out these postgame interviews from Armando Bacot, RJ Davis and head coach Hubert Davis where they discuss UNC’s struggles against Clemson and the poor practices leading up to the game.
