The Syracuse Orange fought for a huge 86-79 win over the No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels in front of a great crowd at the JMA Wireless Dome. Judah Mintz and JJ Starling played exceptionally well, seemingly taking turns hitting big shots for the Orange in the 2nd half. Mintz scored 16 of his 25 points in the 2nd half and Starling scored 13 of his 23 points after the break. As a team, the Orange shot 63% from the floor in the win. RJ Davis led the Heels with 19 points and Armando Bacot recorded his 80th career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
