The No. 10 North Carolina Tar Heels have played good defense all season, but it was on full display in Charlottesville as UNC captured their first road win at UVA since 2012 with the 54-44 victory. The Heels beat the Cavaliers at their own game, playing lock-down defense from start to finish. The Carolina defense locked down the Cavaliers from the start, holding UVA to 16 points on 5-30 shooting in the 1st half. Carolina held Virginia to 28% shooting for the game, including 2-14 from three-point range. The Heels recorded 10 blocks as Jalen Washington rejected 4 on his own and Armando Bacot and RJ Davis each turned two away. For their efforts, the defensive plays from North Carolina get the nod as oour CPI Security: Securing The Win Plays of the Game.
