The No. 7 Tar Heels were all gas and no brakes on “Senior Night” as they handled the Fighting Irish, 84-51. The Tar Heels also captured a share of the ACC regular season championship. Armando Bacot, Harrison Ingram, Cormac Ryan, and RJ Davis combined for 61 points on the evening. Davis led the Heels, scoring 22 points and dishing out 6 assists. Bacot scored 14 points and grabbed 5 boards. Tae Davis led Notre Dame in scoring 11 points to go with 6 rebounds.

I was at this game. At the end, when Hubert Davis took out the Carolina starters and put in the walk-ons, and everyone in the crowd started applauding, it seemed like they were applauding both the walk-ons, for getting to see well-earned playing time before the season’s end, and also the starters, for all of the great work they have done this year. Both groups deserved that applause!
When Bacot is hitting 3’s you might as well hit the showers cuz it’s over! 😂
