The 10th-seeded NC State Wolfpack completed an amazing run as they became the first team in ACC history to win 5 games on their way to the tournament title as they beat the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels, 84-76 and were named champs at the 2024 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament. DJ Horne scored a team-high 29 points on 9-15 shooting and DJ Burns, Jr. was magnificent, finishing with 20 points on 9-12 shooting with 7 assists for Kevin Keatts’ club. Mohamed Diarra did the dirty work, scoring 11 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, blocking 3 shots and coming up with 3 steals in the win. RJ Davis scored a game-high 30 points and Armando Bacot finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for Hubert Davis’ team in a losing effort.

First ACC title since 1987, absolutely amazing. I'm not a wolfpack fan but you gotta root for these guys.
ACC Champions!! The most incredible and improbable run of my lifetime (born in 1990). To win 5 games in 5 days, beat both blue bloods up the road in the process, and culminating with a win over UNC to punch our ticket to the dance – the ONLY way we could have gotten in – is just so sweet. I've been calling for Keatts to be fired – and I still have concerns about the long-term outlook of his coaching tenure – but for now, I tip my hat to him. GO PACK! Never been prouder.

Life long tarheel, love this team but they played terrible. Bacot is as soft as Charmin tp. Coach never allowed them to double team the big guy. Missed so many shots. Congrats to state.

Hilarious. Bet pack loses first weekend of ncaa tourney. Unc isn't that great congrats tho to pack. My dad is probably pissed. Used to be a big unc guy now don't watch much sports at all. Way more important things going on in this world besides sports imo.

State has been up and down all season and really finished the regular season playing poorly. So I am in disbelief at the last 5 games. Where was this team all season? Horne and Burns have been inconsistent all season but somehow put together their best games this tourney. This might be the biggest surprise ACC Tourney win in history. Go Pack!
Hey Wolfpack fans, congrats! You're in the tournament. How about looking at the team stats the first two games that we literally showed up and just fell asleep and beat you guys. I don't know about the ACC tourney games before this, nc st. Vs Duke and all that, but UNC really didn't seem concerned about winning this game. Sometimes when you are as good a coach as Hubert Davis is, you work on things when you're playing an opponent that you can easily beat to see how your team adapts to different situations. For a run to the tournament championship this year, you know the real tournament March Madness, we're (UNC) going to need to be able to press people and we're going to need to find out who can hit threes at the end of the game. Tell me I'm wrong. But before you do look at the team stats from the first two games.
Another freaking game where the refs blatantly and obviously were totally not calling fouls. State committed way too many fouls in the first half and not get called . This is not good for the sport of basketball , don't believe that I care to watch any more college games again , this is not sportsmanship it's about money and favoritism by the outside individuals with money. Well the sport is not worth watching anymore , also they just lost another fan .

Wolf-Pack got their revenge! acc tourny of all time 2024 5 games 5 days legendary hopefully they make a strong run and show the country that its still a team game at end of day & win the championship the hottest team going possibly ever especially after losing 4 straight to end season the old saying everything starts back at 0 when tourny's start still hold true who knows maybe cardiac pack back baby! Such comrodery by this team by epic proportions been 37 years since acc champs now go end the 41 year drought and become champs of the world!
