Elliot Cadeau Takes Over 'Live Action with Carolina Basketball' | Inside Carolina Video

North Carolina fans got their first introduction to the new-look Tar Heels Friday night in the annual “Live Action” event. The night had its share of cameos and on-court highlights with basketball returning to the Dean E. Smith Center. But the biggest standout was freshman Elliot Cadeau.

As the scrimmage drew to a close, Elliot Cadeau took the ball and knocked down a pull-up 3-pointer to cut the lead to one. Davis was fouled a second time and made both free throws, but Cadeau once again dribbled the ball down the court and rose up for a game-tying 3-pointer.

Eric Montross was diagnosed with cancer in the spring and announced tonight he will be sidelined from the Carolina Basketball radio broadcasts this season.

In his honor, the program presented a $25,000 check to UNC Children’s Hospital at tonight’s Live Action event.
