It’s our first ever “What If…? Wednesday”. Isaac Schade and Pac Kilby answer three “what if…” questions about the upcoming 2023-24 UNC college basketball season. What if Elliot Cadeau takes awhile to fully adjust to college basketball? How would that affect the Tar Heels? Will it put more of an onus on RJ Davis running the point? What it mean more time for Seth Trimble? What can Marcus Paige do to ease that transition?

Second, what if UNC doesn’t utilize its depth early on in the season? How will that affect the Tar Heels in both the short- and long-term? How does that potential hurt the development of Zayden High, Jalen Washington, Jae’lyn Withers, etc?

It is five weeks to the day before North Carolina tips off the 2023-24 college basketball season hosting Radford on Monday, November 6. With that said, it’s time to look at a couple “lists of 5” to get prepped for the season.

First up: What are the five MUST-WATCH non-Duke games of the season? It’s the battles with Tennessee, UConn, Kentucky, at NC State, and hosting Miami. Make sure you tune in for all those.

Second: What are some of the records that might fall? Armando Bacot has several in his sights. RJ Davis might light up the three-point line at historic levels. Could Elliot Cadeau set freshman assist records?

With just a few weeks until the official start of regular practice for the UNC basketball squad, the Coast to Coast trio of Sherrell McMillan, Sean Moran and Joey Powell wrap up their series of individual player previews by discussing grad transfers Paxson Wojcik.

The 6-foot-5 Wojcik averaged 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the Bears this past season, shooting 38.0 percent from three.

The North Carolina Tar Heels had their first official practice earlier this week. It’s Armando Bacot’s last season and UNC is coming off a frustrating season. What are the things they need to put in place to make sure 2023-24 is not a repeat? Coach Bill Robinson joins to share what he’s looking for in a first practice, how to set the tone, what drills are in from day 1, etc.

Coach Hubert Davis gave the Tar Heels a test at practice that they had to be successful at in order to practice. That test included five key programmatic principles and four key principles on offense and defense. How will the Tar Heels do in those areas this season and why are they important?

There will be a new face on the UNC Basketball roster this season – transfer Cormac Ryan, who comes to the Tar Heels from Notre Dame. However, he’s not a completely new face – the 6-foot-5 guard has played UNC six times during his college career. He averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists this past season for the Irish.
