REACTION: 2023-24 College Basketball ACC Schedule Release | UNC's toughest & easiest stretches

On Tuesday night ACC Network released the 2023-24 conference basketball schedule. North Carolina, along with the other 14 schools in the conference, will play a 20-game league schedule with home games only against Louisville, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest; road games only against Boston College, Georgia Tech, Pitt, and Virginia; and home-and-home series with Duke, NC State, Clemson, FSU, Miami, and Syracuse.

Hubert Davis’ squad plays FSU at home during the non-conference schedule, between UConn and Kentucky. In the main part of the ACC slate, the Tar Heels will face three straight road games – at Pitt, at Clemson, and at NC State. On the flip side, North Carolina will get three straight road games before the regular season finale at Duke.

UNC PROJECTED Top 15 Frontcourt/Backcourt – but not top 20 overall? | Caleb Wilson schedules visit

The Almanac included North Carolina’s frontcourt as the seventh-ranked frontcourt in Division I with the return of Armando Bacot, along with the likes of Harrison Ingram, Jae’lyn Withers, and Jalen Washington, while the backcourt is ranked 15th thanks to the return of RJ Davis, plus Elliot Cadeau, Seth Trimble, Cormac Ryan, and Paxson Wojcik. The weird thing is that as a team, the Almanac ranks Carolina 24th. That doesn’t seem to add up. Something has to be missing.

The ACC and SEC released the specific details of the inaugural ACC / SEC Challenge on Monday. North Carolina will host Tennessee at 7:15pm ET on ESPN on Wednesday, November 29.

UNC 41, Pitt 24: North Carolina handles success…successfully | 3 Stars, 3 Plays | #SchadeyStat

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 4-0 for the first time since 1997; long enough ago that it was the final year of Mack Brown’s first stint in Chapel Hill. After allowing Pitt a hot start, UNC took control with an Alijah Huzzie punt return TD, a left-handed Drake Maye touchdown pass, and the defense holding down the Pittsburgh offense. JJ Jones had a career night, eclipsing 100 receiving yards for the first time in his career. Huzzie added to his TD with two interceptions.

North Carolina Tar Heels 24th in The Almanac preseason top 25 – too low! | PREVIEW: UNC vs. Pitt |

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 24th in the Almanac’s preseason top 25 and therefore also have a four seed in the preseason publication’s bracketology. This is a pendulum swing in the wrong direction, but also an understandable one given last season’s outcome. However, host Isaac Schade says this ranking is too low. Do you agree?

Armando Bacot is the seventh-ranked player in the Almanac’s top 100 players. RJ Davis and Elliot Cadeau are both also on the list.
