North Carolina travels to Durham on Saturday to take on Duke inside Cameron Indoor Stadium to wrap up the regular season. Carolina has responded nicely to their 2-3 skid by winning five straight with just the finale left. A Tar Heel win clinches the regular season, while a Duke victory allows the Blue Devils to claim a share. In the first matchup, Duke pestered RJ Davis with size, while the Tar Heels put Cormac Ryan on Tyrese Proctor. Both defensive wrinkles were effective. Will both coaches use the same approach? Will Armando Bacot be dominant again? Can the Heels slow down Jared McCain and the Duke 3-point attack? Can Hubert Davis’ club get out to a hot start on the road?

The 9th-seeded Miami Hurricanes survived a tough, physical game and sent the 8th-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels home with a 60-59 win in the 2024 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, NC. Four players scored in double figures for the Hurricanes, led by Shayeann Day-Wlison’s 13-point, 5 assist performance. Deja Kelly and Alyssa Ustby each scored 15 points to pace the Tar Heels in the loss.
