North Carolina might not have been able to ask for a better script for Senior Night as Armando Bacot played his final home game at the Dean E. Smith Center, along with Cormac Ryan, Paxson Wojcik, and the rest of the seniors. Was it RJ Davis’ final home game? That’s yet to be determined. North Carolina put away Notre Dame convincingly, as we’ve been waiting for all season. They did so with defense and several extended offensive runs. Critically the Heels held leading scorer Markus Burton to just nine points on 3-11 shooting (season average: 17). The Heels, led by Harrison Ingram’s 14, once again won the rebounding battle, which they’ve now done 19 straight times. UNC clinches at least a share of the ACC regular season championship, with the possibility of winning it outright on Saturday at Duke.
North Carolina forward Harrison Ingram speaks to the media after UNC’s 84-51 home finale against Notre Dame.

Armando Bacot’s final game inside the Smith Center featured the big man hitting two threes (so did Jalen Washington!)? Will this also be the last career home game for RJ Davis? The Irish have won five of six utilizing a brand new starting lineup…but the Heels were able to exploit their youth with a mix of veteran savvy, defense, and explosive offensive runs.
