UNC Basketball Schedule: The North Carolina basketball schedule has been released and the Tar Heels face a challenging stretch late in the ACC season. Carolina plays Duke twice and two teams that handed the Heels losses a year ago in Florida State and Clemson during UNC’s toughest stretch of the season.

Brice Johnson set a new career-high with 27 points (11-12) to lead the Tar Heels to an 89-76 win over UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic on December 19, 2015.

Coby White scored 21 points to lead the Tar Heels as Carolina earned a share of the regular season ACC title.

North Carolina vs. Georgia Tech: The No. 9 Tar Heels got the decisive victory on the road over Georgia Tech, 77-54. Cam Johnson led UNC with 22 points and freshman Coby White chipped in 19. Abdoulaye Gueye led GT with 14 points.

Highlights from the 1983-84 UNC basketball team.

Duke vs North Carolina: On Senior Night in the Dean Dome, North Carolina beat their rivals, Duke, 79-70 and won a share of the ACC regular season title. Duke was playing short handed as Zion Williamson missed another game and Marques Boldin left early in the first half with a knee injury. Coby White led all Tar Heel scorers with 21 points and White set a new UNC record for 3-pointers made in a season by a freshman, surpassing Rashad McCants. Senior Kenny Williams had a fantastic night scoring 18 points, however, it was Williams’ contributions on the defensive end that made him really stand out. Kenny Williams drew several charges on Duke and got a key block on RJ Barrett with one minute left in the game to help seal the game for the Tar Heels. For Duke, RJ Barrett scored 26 points and set a new freshman season scoring record for the ACC.

UNC Basketball is in the Final Four for a record 19th time, but if it weren’t for Theo Pinson, the trip to Houston may not have ever happened. Pinson was a key part of a Carolina run in the 2nd half against Notre Dame, but it was his actions off the court that got the most attention.
