North Carolina guard RJ Davis bounced back from an off-shooting night against Virginia with an explosion of 42 points in the Tar Heels’ 75-71 win over Miami in front of a raucous crowd in Chapel Hill. The 42 points marked a new scoring record in the Dean Dome and marked a career high in scoring for Davis, as he knocked down 14-22 shots, including 7-11 from three-point range, to go along with 6 rebounds in the win. With his 6 rebounds, Davis became the first player in school history to compile 1,800 points, 200 three-pointers, 500 rebounds, and 300 assists in a career.
