Pittsburgh vs. North Carolina: The Pittsburgh Panthers won a huge road game at Chapel Hill, beating the Tar Heels, 76-67. It’s the 2nd straight win for the Panthers in the Dean Dome, and Pitt has gotten the better of UNC in three of the last 4 games between the two teams. Five players scored in double figures for the Panthers, led by Ithiel Horton, who made all five of his three-point attempts on his way to a game-high 19 points. John Hugley scored 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and Jamarius Burton added 14 in the win. Caleb Love scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting for the Heels in the loss.

The Pitt Panthers earned a 76-67 win in Chapel Hill over North Carolina. Ithiel Horton led the Panthers with 19 points on 5 of 9 shooting and added 5 rebounds in the game. John Hugley scored 18 points and grabbed 5 boards, Jamarius Burton scored 14 with 7 rebounds and Femi Odukale dished out 9 assists to go along with his 10 points for Pitt. Caleb Love scored 19 points and Brady Manek delivered 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tar Heels.

UNC head men’s basketball coach Hubert Davis talks 76-67 loss to the Pitt Panthers.

The #9 Duke Blue Devils built a big lead over Wake Forest and hung on to win, 76-74 for their 22nd victory of the season. Duke’s Mark Williams and Wendell Moore Jr. scored 16 points each, with Williams adding 10 rebounds and Moore adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Paolo Banchero scored 13 with 6 assists and AJ Griffin added 12 points and 6 assists for the Blue Devils. Jake LaRavia led Wake with a 19 point / 10 rebound double-double, and Alondes Williams scored 18 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists for the Demon Deacons.

North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech: The Hokies defended their home court and defeated the #23 Tar Heels, 66-61. Virginia Tech made 11 of 28 shots from behind the three-point arc. The Hokies also held UNC to just 32.8% shooting. Georgia Amoore scored 17 points and was 5-11 shooting three-pointers. Elizabeth Kitley had 15 points and eight rebounds. Aisha Sheppard added 14 points. Deja Kelly scored a team-high 17 points for North Carolina.
