The #23 North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the #13 Louisville Cardinals, 79-68 in a tough ACC battle. Deja Kelly led the Tar Heels with 23 points and added 6 assists. Alyssa Ustby was terrific for the Tar Heels too, scoring 10 points, grabbing 12 boards and blocking 7 shots in the win. Lexi Donarski pitched in 13 points for UNC, including nailing three 3-pointers. Nyla Harris scored 16 points on 7-11 shooting to lead the Cardinals. Olivia Cochran and Jayda Curry added 14 points each for Louisville.

Nothing is easy on the road in the ACC and the trip to Boston College defines that truth in every sense of the word. North Carolina’s 76-66 win over the Eagles was a sloppy version of the game with 46 whistles and 55 free throws over the course of 40 minutes, but in the end, the Heels continued their winning ways to move to 7-0 in the conference. Taylor Vippolis joins host Tommy Ashley to break down the disjointed game and highlight how many ways this team has found to win.

North Carolina point guard Elliot Cadeau crosses over his defender and then feeds James Okonkwo with the perfect alley-oop pass to beat the first-half buzzer and give the Tar Heels a 34-31 lead over Boston College at the break.

Clemson went on the road and handed the Seminoles their second conference loss of the season, 78-67. Clemson shot 51.0% from the field for the game while holding FSU to just 40.7%. Chase Hunter’s dunk in the final minute gave him 14 points, which led the Tigers. PJ Hall had 13 points and six rebounds. Josh Beadle added 12 points. For Florida State, Jamir Watkins led the team with 15 points. Darin Green Jr. had 13 points and five rebounds.

The guard met with reporters Saturday, after the fourth-ranked Tar Heels won 76-66 at Boston College to pick up their eighth straight victory and improve to 4-0 on the road.

Blake Hinson was a perfect 7-7 from three-point range and scored a game-high 24 points. Hinson also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. Freshman Jaland Lowe scored 17 points, including a critical three-pointer with 43 seconds left to put the Panthers up 4. For Duke Jared McCain scored a game-high 20 points and Kyle Filipowski had 19 points and five rebounds.
