The No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels kept their impressive streak going with their 103-67 win over the Syracuse Orange Five players scored in double figures for Hubert Davis’ crew, led by RJ Davis’ 22 points on 7-12 shooting. Armando Bacot scored 16 points and pulled in 11 rebounds for another double-double. Judah Mintz led the Orange with 21 points in a losing effort.
Reblogged 11 months ago from www.youtube.comNorth Carolina pummeled Syracuse on Saturday, 103-67 behind 22 points from RJ Davis and doubles-doubles from both Armando Bacot and Harrison Ingram. Hubert Davis’ team got production from all over the place including 39 bench points. Will Carolina be able to keep up this energy and intensity? Jae’lyn Withers seems to have found his niche, what are the results? Syracuse’s starting center was out – did it help Carolina dominate points in the paint? Carolina got back to the free throw line in the volume that it hadn’t in recent games. Elliot Cadeau’s block and subsequent hockey assist to Armando Bacot via RJ Davis was the play of the game.
The #20 Tar Heels pulled out a tough 81-68 win over the Cavaliers. Virginia kept UNC within reach for most of the game, but a late 10-2 run by North Carolina proved too much for the Cavaliers to overcome. Deja Kelly was the star of the game for the Tar Heels. Kelly finished the game with 27 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Alyssa Ustby recorded another double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Camryn Taylor led Virginia with 16 points and seven rebounds.
