Year three of the Hubert Davis era began Monday night as the North Carolina Tar Heels pushed away from visiting Radford in the second half to win 86-70. Armando Bacot led the Heels will 25 points and 13 rebounds with RJ Davis, Cormac Ryan and Harrison Ingram joining the Tar Heel big in double figures. On the Inside Carolina postgame podcast, Dewey Burke discusses the ‘new wrinkles’ in the offense as well as the intensity and effort this team played with in game one of the 2023-24 season.

The new-look No. 19 North Carolina Tar Heels picked up an 86-70 victory to start the season against a solid Radford squad. Carolina shot 52% from the floor en route to the win. Armando Bacot had a strong start to the season, putting up 25 points, 13 rebounds and a pair of blocks. Cormac Ryan and RJ Davis added 13 points apiece, while Harrison Ingram dropped 12. Freshman Elliot Cadeau had 5 points and 6 assists in his debut.
